Grid New Zealand
Grid New Zealand is the first Transpower site to be built upon the newest version of Notion CMS (Notion Beryllium).
The site makes use of visual enhancements, such as font replaced page headings and titles (enabling corporate and stylised fonts to be used even if not supported by browsers, but still fully editable by the CMS).
In addition, AJAX is used on the site for the Project Map to gather up-to-the-second information on projects, as well as being used in the Jargon Buster throughout the site to provide valuable information to the user without adding to page size or complexity.
The site uses hidden screen-reader friendly links and the site is fundamentally built using only CSS for the styling, allowing the mark up to be semantically correct for screen readers and purity of (X)HTML.
Almost all of the site is editable by Transpower with all aspects of edited information being promulgated to all necessary areas of the web site without further intervention by content maintainers in order to reduce editing time, cost and effort. www.gridnewzealand.co.nz |
